Our Regulatory Improvement & Market Development area has three (3) main focuses:
• Anticipate and prevent – through the execution and application of regulatory improvement tools – with respect to those regulations that would affect companies, the various economic sectors and competition.
• Participate and contribute to deregulation through the non-application and, finally, elimination of unnecessary obstacles that affect our clients and the market, through the use of Indecopi’s system for the elimination of bureaucratic barriers.
• Provide alternatives and solutions regarding the regulation issued, so that the application of the regulation related to a specific economic sector is efficient within the implementation of our clients’ commercial policies.
Our services include as follows:
Regulatory review: Evaluation and analysis of the business model and economic activity of the company or organization to which the service is provided, identifying the normative and regulatory framework that applies to them according to their activity, including the absence of the same. In this way, it is anticipated which are the regulations that may generate additional costs and burdens to the client and with which it has to deal, in order to propose a mechanism to minimize their impact on the client.
Elimination of Bureaucratic Barriers: Comprehensive advice to the client in the administrative procedures before the competent bodies in elimination of bureaucratic barriers of Indecopi, as well as in the use of the tools of prevention and persuasion established within such system to achieve a modification of the conduct of an entity and the voluntary elimination of the regulatory barrier that affects the market.
Anticipated Monitoring of Regulatory Changes: Continuous monitoring, impact assessment and communication to the client regarding changes in laws, regulations and standards that may impact their business and related economic sectors.
Regulatory Diagnostics from the Private Sector: Identification of potential changes in regulations, actively proposing formulas for regulatory reforms within the different sectors of the Government that include a positive change for the sector that may even include deregulation, in order to protect the interests of our private sector clients and ensure their access and permanence in the market.

Participation in Public Initiatives of Regulatory Reform: Identification of public problems raised by state entities in their Early Agenda of Regulatory Quality published by the PCM, in order to actively participate in anticipating which regulatory changes would be proposed in relation to such public problems and ensure that the issuance of such changes are made with the opinions of the private sector and with an ex ante Regulatory Impact Analysis.
Advocacy in elimination of bureaucratic barriers in laws (regulations with legal rank and force): Review of the legal regulations that may be affecting the development of our clients’ businesses and sectors, in order to propose a regulatory change using the tool of advocacy in elimination of bureaucratic barriers through the first instance bodies of Indecopi, competent in elimination of bureaucratic barriers.
